Discover the Wines of Portugal: Vineyard and Wine Tasting Tours
We have included this on Eat Out as its all about food and drink and I’ve had the pleasure of going on a few wine tasting tours in Portugal on my travels, and much as I would like to be I am not a wine connoisseur, as I probably fall into the catagory of as long as it contains alcohol, comes in a bottle and is drinkable on its own or with a meal and doesn’t cost me too much I am a very happy man.
If on the other hand you are a wine enthusiast and know a thing about body and bouquet, or even have a wine cellar, you are going to have just a little more fun on a Portuguese wine tour.

Personal Experience
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting a number of wine tasting tours in Portugal, and I have to say they are great fun, you get to see how the other half live, taste some great wines and chat to the guides ( you will probably have dreams of owning your own vineyard – for God’s sake don’t go there).
And of course the vineyard owners are obviously hoping you will buy a case or two of their wine after sampling whats on offer and why wouldn’t you.
