Gosta do Castelo
The restaurant project Gosta do Castelo was born in 2015
Located on Rua Costa do Castelo, the street that surrounds Castelo de Sao Jorge in Lisbon,
where the inspection for the name of the restaurant appears, with a small pun that became Gosta do Castelo.
CONCEPT
Charming and welcoming, with an open kitchen concept, it takes pride of place on the main stage, allowing guests to observe the hustle and bustle of the cooks.
Our letter was designed and prepared based on the three stages of the day:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, opening at 8:30am until 11:30pm
We start the day with the incredible Brunch inspired by English breakfasts, toast, sausages, eggs and bacon are present and we can say that it is the king of Brunch
Then we have the restaurant's star menu with freshly baked bread.
We continue with the delicious homemade and warm pancakes and waffies, the Overnight Oats and Vegan Smoothies and much more.
At lunch we add other options of "Comfort food"
There are more complex dishes like our Bacalhau à Brás, Spaghetti with shrimp, among others.
At dinner we have the contemporary menu with fusion and daring, making an apology to our Portuguese products where the traditional Bacalhau is King.
We continue with Porco Iberico and our famous Polvo a Lagareiro
And we dare to create a fusion of Foie Gras with port wine reduction, a sublime combination!
And duck magret with our traditional roasted chestnut and mace confit in port wine.
Even when we walk through French gastronomy, the Portuguese touch is present in our dishes.
Here time runs slowly, because while enjoying a good meal, you will listen to a very relaxing musical repertoire, jazz, bossa or blues
always accompanied by excellent and exclusive national wines from small producers and many of them evaluated by Wine
Spectator and Robert Parker one of the greatest authorities on world wines.
