Welcome to Mini Bar, José Avillez's gastronomic bar, where not everything is as it seems!
This space, in the Avillez neighborhood, has been livening up the afternoons and evenings of Chiado, offering a new concept of entertainment.
Every day, from 7pm, in a comfortable and intimate atmosphere, José Avillez offers a Bar Menu with Special Cocktails, Wines, Craft Beers and small and varied gastronomic experiences full of flavour, which can be enjoyed in the bar area or at the tables reserved for dinner.
This is not a traditional place. Here, not everything is as it seems.
There are Tostadas with coastal prawns and aguachille and a surprising Tartare of tuna belly and caviar. A Tempura of green asparagus and lemon and a delicious Oven-baked rice with prawns. An admirable Octopus with kimchi emulsion and a grilled tenderloin with truffle mustard…not to mention irresistible desserts like Nosso Pão de Ló, a contemporary version of a classic “artist”.
But the star of the Mini Bar is the “Chef’s Choice” menu, to share. It has 12 dishes and includes some Mini Bar classics, such as El Bulli Olives or Globo with passion fruit, but also new dishes such as aged beef tartare with parmesan or Corvina with shrimp moqueca sauce.
Booking recommended.
